Help us stop Reactive Attachment Disorder at Rancho De Los Ninos Orphanage!
What we are Trying to Prevent?
Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD) is a disorder that happens when infants are neglected or not held enough. This can cause serious issues such as not engaging in social settings, rage and even a lack of empathy. Due to large amounts of children that can be found in orphanages or foster homes, these infants can be found at an extra risk and thus we saw a need for caregivers who’s main focus is on the infants to give them the nurturing they need.
Since its foundation, Hug a Bye Baby has helped to educate, guide, and donate against the development of Reactive Attachment Disorder in orphans at Rancho de los Ninos in Tijuana. With the never-ending generosity of our patients, CPC has donated over $30,000 to this cause! As COVID-19 continues to rear its ugly head, the chances of CPC staff visiting our beloved orphanage this year dwindle. We have been lucky enough to hand deliver toys at Christmas time, socks and diapers when needed, and interact with all the children at the orphanage multiple times throughout the years. Though the thought of not being able to visit disappoints us greatly, we have confirmed that all children and staff at Rancho de los Ninos are safe and healthy!
Giving Thanks Fundraiser
As fall quickly approaches, Hug a Bye Baby will do what we can to continue giving to the orphanage. Our Giving Thanks fundraiser will begin August 15th and continue through November 15th, CPC will be accepting donations for Rancho de los Ninos, to go toward a thanksgiving meal for the children and staff of the orphanage. Each donation made will be matched 100% by Colorado Psychiatry Center, and a guaranteed 100% of all donations will go to the orphanage. Each donation will also enter the donator into a raffle for a $50 gift card to King Soopers!
